Skill Development Program:
Computer Training Programme:
RAH carried out programmes for skill development to empower all individuals through improved skills, knowledge, recognized qualifications to gain access to decent employment and ensure competitiveness in the market.
Most of urban poor members are unemployed due to lack of education and technical knowledge. They are either maid servant or engaged in a low daily wages. They are not able to fulfill their daily needs through these works they should be given technical knowledge. The objective was to enhance individual’s employability and ability to adapt to changing technologies and labour market demand.
“This is a major step forward for Rah in strengthening our educational programme that seeks to promote greater skills and knowledge among the urban poor. It is a win-win situation all around as more skilled and knowledgeable people from urban slums give uncompensated time to teach in slums. Enhancing opportunities for earning their own livelihoods through jobs or enterprises of their own,”

Goat Rearing
RAH is promoting goat-rearing programme in Khairachattar, Jharkhand. As with other RAH initiatives, the focus is on assisting women in optimising their livestock resources. This becomes necessary given that in these project areas, goat rearing is characterised by the use of poor breeds and unscientific husbandry practices that result in low incomes and high morbidity and mortality risks.
|
|
RAH focuses on the induction of new animals, better housing and veterinary care, especially immunisation against certain well-known killer diseases like PPR (Peste des petits ruminants). Systems have been set up to procure and administer necessary vaccines in collaboration with government agencies.
RAH assists poor women in goat rearing as a potential livelihood supplement. The programme enables women to obtain credit to buy goats and provide improved shelter and veterinary support. Training a cadre of para-vets to provide animal health care on a routine basis is also an important intervention.
The programmes are implemented in clusters so that capacity building, veterinary support, and marketing can be taken up in a more systematic manner.
As on 18 August to 24 August 2013, RAH's goat rearing programmes reach out to two SHGs (40 families).

Most of villager’s members are belonging to farming communities. If they avail micro credit, they use the amount for Agriculture and allied activities that yield meager income sometimes and many times no income at all. So, we planned ten days Tailoring program held at khairachattar on 15 November 2010, in these training program 20 poor women are participated, for employment oriented training programme to our rural women and thereby started tailoring training centre in the village as a first step going towards making the women to involve in diversified activities to earn the income reasonably.
The objective was to enhance individual’s employability and ability to adapt to changing technologies and labour market demand.
